Since everyone is different and we don’t believe that one size fits all, we highly recommend that you read carefully the following instructions before you make a purchase. All of our dresses have different measurements depending on model and fabric. Please remember you are unique and size is just a number (or letter on some occasions). Please measure yourself carefully with any standard measuring tape. If you have any questions, feel free to reference model’s measurements and item description details. We only provide exchanges in sizes that are currently in stock for the same dress model you purchased.

What are the lengths of your dresses?

All of our dresses vary on length according to the model, fabric and style. Find more information under the item description.

Does your product run true to size?

Remember every dress is made differently, therefore sizing might shift according to each style and model. Please check the size chart on the dress page that you’re interested for accurate sizing information.

How do I measure myself using measuring tape?

Most women have a good idea what their measurements are, but rather than assume you know, get an accurate measurement using a tape.

Chest: Measure the circumference of your chest. Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around (under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front) to get the measurement.

Waist: Measure the circumference of your waist. Use the tape to circle your waist (sort of like a belt would) at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage. (If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline.) Don’t suck in your stomach, or you’ll get a false measurement. If you generally wear your clothes below your waist, take that measurement as well.

Hips: Measure the circumference of your hips. Start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the largest part of your buttocks. Because making sure the tape is level back there can be hard, try to do it in front of a mirror.

How do I tell if a dress is in stock?

We update our products on a daily basis. When you’re in the product page you’re interested in purchasing all in stock or out of stock sizes will be displayed in the size category. If you’re interested in an item that is currently out of stock please add it to your Wishlist.

Can I make an account in The Velvet Showroom website?

Yes! We encourage that you create an account with us for a faster and easier experience. Save your address and billing information for quick a checkout. You can also use our Wishlist to add dresses you are keeping in mind in the future or if they’re out of stock.

Where can I see my order?

Your order history can be accessed when you click on your account, under the Orders tag. You can see your current and past orders.

Do you sell floor models?

Yes we do. Because our retail store is currently open for business, we sometimes open dresses for display purposes. These items are going to be for sale, however because they have been previously opened they will be discounted. All models have been thoroughly inspected and in good condition, unless specified in the item description alongside a high resolution image. As a company, we really value full transparency, and we guarantee that you will receive the item that way you’re looking at, no funny surprises.

What is your exchange policy?

We hope you’re in love with your purchase, but if you are not satisfied, we accept exchanges only on full price dresses. We don’t offer refunds but we offer exchanges for the same dress model you purchased but in difference size that is in stock. We can’t guarantee an exchange if the size you are looking for is not in stock. Sale items, or floor models are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned.

How many days do I have to exchange an item?

If your dress doesn’t fit the way you like, you must request a return authorization number and ship the item back within 3 days after receiving your order.

A prepaid shipping label request can be requested through our email, or you can provide your own label using any other trackable method. If you use our prepaid shipping label, a shipping & handling fee of $8.95 for the first item and $4.95 for each additional item returned will be deducted at the customer’s expense.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Discover, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay and Afterpay.

Is it safe to save my credit/debit card onto the website?

Yes! We worked thoroughly to secure our website’s database so you can comfortably shop without any fraud concerns. To save a payment method visit your account and click in the payment method tab to save your card’s information.

What is Installments by Afterpay?

Installments by Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in four equal payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.

How do I use Installments by Afterpay?

Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At checkout choose Installments by Afterpay as your payment method. First time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details as usual, returning customers simply log in to make their purchase. It’s that easy! Please note that all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Installments by Afterpay. A minimum purchase amount may apply and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.

Can I use Installments by Afterpay if I’m an international customer?

Installments by Afterpay is only available to customers with a US billing address within the US and a US mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses will not be able to set up an account with Afterpay.

How does the payment schedule work?

All customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted automatically every two weeks from your chosen payment method. If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, you may do so through your Afterpay account. You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?

When will my items be delivered if I use Installments by Afterpay?

Afterpay orders are delivered as per our standard shipping timeframe after you complete your order online.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction?

Yes, transaction value limits apply to purchases made on thevelvetshowroom.com  using Installments by Afterpay.

How do I exchange an item purchased using Installments by Afterpay?

If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase by mail. Please check that your return or exchange meets our policy. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay. If you believe there is fault or concern with your Afterpay purchase payment, please contact their customer support at info@afterpay.com

How long will it take to get my package?

If your dress is in stock, it will ship out within 1 business day and will arrive to you in accordance with your chosen shipping method.
